Question 10: Where is God?
SCRIPTURAL BASIS
Psalm 139:7-12
Jeremiah 23:23,24
Acts 17:27,28
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
Because God is transcendent (not bound by time and space) then He is present in every aspect of the natural order of things, in every manner, time, and place while not being these things. God fills all of creation with his presence.
The theological term for this is omnipresence. God is everywhere in all of time and space all at once.
Why does this matter? Because God is everywhere we can know that he sees us regardless of where we are and what we are doing. This gives us comfort in the midst of our troubles, and conviction when we sin.
