Believer’s Baptism

We baptize by immersion because it is not only the original significance of the Word, but also because it best symbolizes the reality to which baptism points— our death and resurrection in Christ. In Romans 6 the apostle Paul told the Roman Christians that they were “buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that…we too might walk in newness of life.”
